Terms and Conditions

By enrolling in service, the customer agrees to the terms outlined herein. Service includes collection of approved organic materials on a scheduled basis.

- Services are billed monthly for the previous 30 days of service.
- Payment is due within 14 business days of invoicing.
- A $5.00 late fee will be applied to overdue balances.
- Continued non-payment may result in suspension or termination of service.

- Customers must place bins out by 6:00 AM on their scheduled pickup day.
- Bins must be safely accessible and unobstructed.
- Missed pickups due to late placement may incur additional charges.
- If a bin was placed out on time but missed by our drivers, service will occur the next business day. Please notify us as soon as possible so we can reschedule.

Includes food scraps, coffee grounds, approved paper, and yard waste (if applicable).
Prohibited: plastics (unless approved), glass, metal, chemicals.

Customers who repeatedly have contamination will receive a $10.00 fee. Our drivers will leave multiple notifications and we will reach out before we assess any charges.

Any extra material placed outside of your bin will accrue an extra “overage” charge. We charge $5.00 for every 3 bags of material
Example:
- 1–3 bags: $5.00
- 4–6 bags: $10.00
- 7–9 bags: $15.00
-Brush piles charged proportionally.
-You do not need to call ahead for extra pickups, but if you are unsure about the cost send a picture to info@missoulacompost.com.

Extra pickups will be assessed on the specific situation. All requests for extra pickups need to be made within 24 hours of the desired pickup. Weekend pickups are generally not possible, unless prior arrangements have been made and may incur additional charges.All extra pickups must be requested within 24 hours.

Seasonal pickups may require different charges such as a christmas tree ($8.00). Please check our website for more details here.
We do not pickup loose leaf piles. all leaves must be bagged in large paper lawn bags.
We do not pickup sod, rocks or piles of dirt.

We require customers to sign up for a minimum of 3 months. Early cancellations will be charged for the remainder of the 3 months.

Bins that are stolen or damaged due to being left out after collection day are replaced at the customers expense ($20.00).
Leaking or damaged bins that need to be replaced due to normal wear and tear will be replaced by Missoula Compost.

Customers must provide safe and unobstructed access to bins. Service may be skipped if conditions are unsafe, including:
-Snow, ice, or hazardous pathways
-Blocked driveways or access points-
-Aggressive animals
The provider is not liable for damages resulting from unsafe conditions.

-Commercial customers are responsible for staff compliance and proper sorting.
-Service frequency, container size, and contamination thresholds may differ from residential service.
-Additional service audits or stricter contamination standards may apply.

All materials collected become the property of the service provider upon pickup and will be processed in accordance with applicable regulations.

The service provider is not liable for:
-Missed pickups caused by customer error
-Service delays due to weather or unforeseen events
-Indirect or consequential damages

These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. Continued use of service constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
