The Green Team

The Green Team is a volunteer based team run by Home ReSource. The goal of the Green Team is to help reduce the amount of contamination at large events like the Western Montana Fair, Missoula Marathon, Pride Fest, and the River City Roots Fest. They help educate the public and make sure that waste is getting sorted into the right place whether that is in the recycling, composting , or landfill bin. At the 2023 Western Montana Fair, 48,000 lbs of organic waste was diverted from the landfill.

The Green Team plays a key role in the success of Zero Waste events.
