BIN SIZES
5 Gallon Bin - ($19.21/ month)
5-gallon bins are perfect for apartments and tight spaces. They are great for food waste disposal, and they fit easily under the sink. The screw-on lid contains odors and blocks pests, while the handle allows easy transport.
Lost or stolen bins are replaced at the customer’s expense.
10 Gallon Bin - ($19.21/ month)
10-gallon bins are ideal for apartments and small spaces. The airtight lid keeps odors in and pests out while our 13-gallon bio bags fit neatly inside.
Not recommended for homes, as bins can be stolen or lids lost in windstorms. Replacement is at the customer’s expense.
32 Gallon Bin - Standard Size - ($23.32/ month)
Our best bin for homes with a small yard or garden!
Perfect for outdoor or garage storage, this bin requires less maintenance than smaller options. Its size helps minimize odors and pests, making it ideal for composing all week long.
Reinforced Bear Bin - 32 Gallon - ($32.32/ month)
Our IGBC certified Bear resistant compost bin is designed to deter bears from accessing the food scraps and organic waste. This option is great for homes in more forested areas with greater wildlife activity. These bins are more expensive as the locking mechanism requires greater initial cost and maintenance.
64 Gallon Bin - ($28.62/ month)
Perfect for homes with medium to large yards! If you’re mowing often or dealing with heavy seasonal debris, this spacious bin is a game-changer. Save on extra charges by keeping all your yard waste in one convenient place—no more overflow hassles.
96 Gallon Bin - ($33.92/ month)
Best bin size for homes with large yards or gardens. This is the bin for you if you have to mow several times a week and have a significant amount of debris in the spring and fall. Save with a bigger bin by avoiding extra charges for excess material consistently left by your bin.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Seasonal Bins - ($20.00/extra bin)
Pair up with a large bin for the growing season and a small bin for the winter months. Switch between compost needs at your convenience.
Excess Material Collection - (Cost depends on volume)
Compost members receive discounts on one-time collections. Place excess material beside the compost bin on collection day; $5 for every 3 lawn bags or equivalent. Collections that will take longer than 15 minutes to load must be scheduled through our one time collections form.
DELIVERY FEES
One-Time Fee - $20
This covers the cost of removing, cleaning, delivering, and maintaining a large inventory of bins. Changing bin sizes after your initial signup will result in an additional $20.00 bin fee.

Composting can be confusing, but it doesn’t have to be! This guide will help you identify what can and cannot go into your Missoula Compost bin.
Some items, like meat and dairy, may seem unusual to compost. Thankfully, Missoula Compost uses local industrial composting methods to safely decompose materials that are traditionally avoided.
